Grace Hamada, Hana Studio

I am a Seattle based artist who has been using various art media for more than 25 years.  My art is inspired by nature, my heritage and the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.  I started making art using different materials (such as rust, rice, hair, etc.) to express ideas that words were insufficient to convey.  To better capture the "atmosphere" that I experience outdoors, I have focused on mix-media art making.

In addition to making art, I enjoy hiking, nordic skiing and snowshoeing.

I am a graduate from Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver, BC, Canada and have completed many extra curricular courses and workshops in mixed media.
